<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of being quickly started while preventing a failure (dry-out) due to lack of humidification of a fuel cell in an environment wherein the fuel cell may be frozen. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is provided with: an electrolyte film; a stack 1 for generating power by using a fuel gas and an oxidizer gas; and a water tank 60 for water used for humidifying the stack 1. In addition, the system is equipped with: a humidification determination means for determining whether or not the stack 1 can be humidified by using the water in the water tank 60; and a temperature control means 100 for controlling the temperature of the stack 1. When it is determined by the humidification determination means that the stack 1 can not be humidified, the operation temperature of the stack 1 is kept from exceeding that in normal operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
