PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple double-loop system having both a rotary encoder attached to the rear end of a motor and a linear scale for directly detecting machine motion, while reducing the number of wires. SOLUTION: Data on the encoder are sampled into a data processing circuit of the linear scale and the subordinate data of the encoder are intermingled with data on the linear scale and sent to a servo by one kind of serial transmission.
