PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stop of an operation knob in an intermediate part essentially not allowing the stop, so as not to bring an operation state of a switching device into a state against user's will, in the switching device changing horizontal movement of an operation knob shaft into rotation force of an arm by a cam face formed in the arm, and allowing rapid movement of the operation knob shaft to a second position by a kick spring when moving the operation knob shaft to a prescribed position in the intermediate part from a first position. SOLUTION: When the arm 2 is moved close to the prescribed position Y, the cam face A is torsionally deformed such that friction between the operation knob shaft 1 and the cam face A becomes small. Thereby, the sum of friction between the operation knob shaft 1 and the cam face A, friction between the arm 2 and a shaft 5, and friction between the kick spring 2 and a shaft 7 is balanced with elastic reaction force of the kick spring 2 to suppress or prevent the stop of the operation knob shaft 1 in the intermediate position essentially not allowing the stop.
