PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a log record data management method for easily managing and maintaining a log file by using a log collecting date to a log file name. SOLUTION: In this method for managing log record data for making software for providing a basic communicating function with a host computer system store log record data by using a log recording function, a log file in which the log record data are stored acquires a time stamp, and defines the time stamp as the file name of the log file. When the number of log files is a predetermined number or more, the log files are deleted in the order of the older time stamp until the number of the log files reaches the predetermined number.
