摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake-air amount controller of an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing damage of a catalyst caused by decrease of injection pressure of fuel. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 2 comprises a throttle valve 6 actuated by an actuator 12, and a fuel pressure sensor 22 for detecting fuel injection pressure. An electronic control device 10 sets, as a target suction air amount, the smaller one of a first suction air amount calculated based on a load request of a driver and a second suction air amount where the air-fuel ratio is set at the target air-fuel ratio with respect to the maximum injection amount of the fuel allowed by the injection amount of the fuel at that time.
