PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type vehicular air conditioner for obtaining a superior air-conditioning feeling by improving starting performance in heating operation. SOLUTION: This heat pump type vehicular air conditioner is constituted for air-conditioning the inside of a cabin by switching the refrigerant flowing direction for circulating a gas refrigerant compressed by a compressor 11 in a refrigerant circuit, and is provided with an air-conditioning air flowing directional upstream vehicle-inside heat exchanger 12 arranged in an air-conditioning unit connected to the refrigerant circuit and exchanging heat between introduced air and the refrigerant and an air-conditioning air flowing directional downstream heating heat exchanger connected to a driving device cooling system of a vehicle and heating the introduced air by a driving device cooling medium, and is provided with a hot keeping operation mode performed in the initial stage of starting the heating operation, and increasing a refrigerant quantity circulating in the refrigerant circuit.
