PURPOSE: A structure for an engine room of construction equipment is provided to prevent outflow of noise from the engine room by mounting a sound absorbing duct to a fire wall to discharge air from the engine room. CONSTITUTION: An engine room of a construction machine is composed of a radiator having plural radiating fins, an engine circulating coolant cooled by the radiator, a blower fan between the radiator and the engine for sucking or discharging air to the radiator, a shroud setting the passage of air sucked by the blower fan, a hydraulic pump operating the construction machine by interlocking with the engine, a muffler discharging exhaust gas caused by driving the engine, and an outer case(10) covering the radiator, the engine, the blower fan and the hydraulic pump, and having an inlet(18) and an outlet(19). A sound absorbing duct(20) is installed in the lower part of the outlet to reduce noise of the air absorbing heat of the engine by being sucked through the inlet by the blower fan.
