<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve visibility of a card insertion opening in a card reader. <P>SOLUTION: A card insertion guide body 3 guiding a card 1 into a card reader interior is attached to a gate opening 2 of the card reader. The card insertion guide body 3 comprises a case 4 with at least one part comprising a light transmitting material, and a light source housed in the case 4.
