<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure for solving a case that an abnormality of a main power supply such as blackout, occurs in an uninterruptible power supply system. <P>SOLUTION: The uninterruptible power supply system allows two batteries to be connected. An operator can specify which of a first battery and a second battery to be used. A function for testing whether the battery is usable allows power supply to be continued even at unexpected blackout during the replacement of the battery. Therefore, the uninterruptible power supply system which comprises a double backup system is obtained. A mechanism is provided which tests a remaining capacity of a replacement battery to determine whether it is usable or not, and informs results of an operator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
