<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication system that enables simple operation data communication with a device driven by a secondary battery without the medium of complicated wired connection or of a recording medium such as a memory card. <P>SOLUTION: The data communication system comprises a digital still camera 1, a printer 2 and the secondary battery 3 mountable on the digital still camera 1 and the printer 2. The secondary battery 3 receives image data from the digital still camera 1 to store them in a memory 27.
