IMAGE TAKING DEVICE, OPTICAL ELEMENT, INFORMATION DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image taking device capable of being thinned and being excellent in rigidity in its cross direction. SOLUTION: The image taking device includes a prism part 102 with a fingerprint reading surface 107 to which an irregular object should abut; a fingerprint reading LED 108 which produces light rays to be incident on the prism part 102; a distributed refractivity type lens 104 by which the light rays exiting the prism part 102 are collected and formed into an image at a predetermined position; and an image pickup element 105 disposed in a predetermined position. The opposite surface 161 of the prism part 102 is formed to reflect the light rays incident from the fingerprint reading LED 108 so that the rays are vertically applied to the fingerprint reading surface 107 from the inside.
