PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving footway device capable of telling passengers that the boarding or alighting position is approaching. SOLUTION: In the moving footway device where a tread belt and a handrail belt are synchronized and move in the same direction, a projector 131 for indirect light is provided in respective ranges L, M of a skirt guard vertical part 112 for projecting indirect light to a passenger 300 and letting the passenger 300 recognize the boarding position or the alighting position of the tread belt 41.
