PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator that can prevent a tail code from getting out of a tail code duct because of the air flow. SOLUTION: In this elevator 1A, the tail code duct 5 is provided along a lifting space where a car 2 moves up and down. The tail code duct 5 has an opening 5 opened toward the lifting space and formed along the lifting space. An arm 10 fixed to the car 2 is guided into the tail code duct 5 thorough an opening 6. The tail code 11 is hanged from the arm 10 into the code duct 5. The position of the arm 10 hanging the tail code 11 is set at the position shifted relative to the opening 5.
