PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device suppressing vibrations and noise generated due to floating of a ball at a low cost and with a simple structure, in a ball screw mechanism used for converting motor rotations for assisting steering force into an axial movement of a steering shaft. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises a housing 1; the steering shaft 2 coupled to a steering mechanism steering a wheel; a converting mechanism 6 for converting rotating force from a steering wheel into force for moving the steering shaft 2 in a longitudinal direction; a ball screw 20 composed of a screw shaft 21 that is a part of the steering shaft 2, and a nut 22 externally fitted to the screw shaft 21 through a plurality of balls 23; a rolling bearing 13 fitted with the nut 22 and rotatably supporting the nut 22; and a motor 8 fitted with the nut 22.
