PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized and weight saving cordless power tool. SOLUTION: A power source circuit constituted of an electrical double-layered capacitor 8 and a lithium-ion battery 11 is built in the cordless power tool such as an electrical stapler 1. The electrical double-layered capacitor is charged from the lithium-ion battery in a standby state, and large current is supplied from the electrical double-layered capacitor to a motor 5 when a switch is turned on. Combination of the high-energy density lithium-ion battery and the electrical double-layered capacitor to discharge large current downsizes the tool and reduces its weight, compared with the case of a nickel-cadmium battery or a nickel hydride battery in use.
