PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the assembly of an operation button and an engaging spring from being mistaken in a one touch attachable/detachable spool. SOLUTION: The spool 4 of a spinning reel is detachable from a spool shaft 8 having a tapered surface 8a and an engaging groove 8b, and has a spool body 7, the engaging spring 30, a positioning protrusion 31, a lid member 32, the operation button 33 and an engaging hole part 34. The spool body has a circular attaching space 7b. The engaging spring has a pair of engaging parts 30a and 30b engaged with the engaging groove. The positioning protrusion positions the rotational phase of the engaging spring. The lid member covers the attaching space 7b. The operation button is attached to the lid member so as to be able to pass the engaging groove, and has a pair of tapered parts 33b arranged by sandwiching the shaft member so that the distance of the pair of the engaging parts may be enlarged by the movement in the shaft direction. The engaging hole part 34 limits the rotational phase of the operation button so that the tip of the tapered part may be arranged between both engaging parts of the engaging spring.
