PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to clean the heating chamber easily by forming the arc rear corner in the heating chamber, to heat evenly by reflecting microwave actively with forming the arc and planar portions, and to enlarge the volume by forming the recessed part. CONSTITUTION: A heating chamber of a microwave oven is composed of both linear sides(112,114), a partially linear rear part(116), and round corner parts(118) connecting the both linear sides to the partially linear rear part. Recessed parts(130) are formed in the rear part and protruded backward. The arc corner part is formed with the specific radius of curvature, and the recessed part is elliptically formed with the vertical major axis. The deformation is prevented by reinforcing the rear wall with forming the recessed part in the heating chamber, and the recessed parts and the corner parts are integrally formed with the heating chamber to enlarge the internal space.
