PURPOSE: An IPS(In Plane Switching) mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form a common electrode on an inclined insulation layer, thereby applying a uniform IPS to the entire liquid crystal layer and simultaneously making an aperture ratio improve. CONSTITUTION: A gate insulation layer(122) are stacked on the first substrate(120). A data line(104) and pixel electrodes(107a,107b) are formed on the gate insulation layer(122). A passivation layer(124) is formed at a constant region between the data line(104) and the pixel electrodes(107a,107b). Common electrodes(105a-105c) are formed on the passivation layer(124). The common electrodes(105a-105c) are formed on an upper surface and an inclined surface of the passivation layer(124). The common electrodes(105a,105c) are overlapped with the data line(104).
