PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical-fiber amplifier, the constituents of which are modularized, and which has a small size and low cost and a high performance. SOLUTION: The optical-fiber amplifier 1 that amplifies an optical signal is constituted by an excitation module 12, an amplification fiber module 13, and a monitor module 14, wherein the output fiber of the excitation module is connected to the input fiber of the amplification fiber module, and the output fiber of the amplification fiber module is connected to the input fiber of the monitor module.
