PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein (1) waiting time becomes longer as the data capacity is larger, (2) protection of copyright is not considered, (3) condition that data sources (information sources) having a different communication speed and a different communicating method are mixed is not considered, (4) the so-called stand-up reading is difficult, (5) data except the electronic data cannot be used, (6) referenced parts can not be taken out by an appropriate unit in delivering the electronic data to users. SOLUTION: This data communication system is formed of a data selection device, a data source selection device, a data receiver device, and a plurality of data sources connected to the data receiver device. In response to selection by the data selection device, the data source selection device selects the specified data among a plurality of data sources on the basis of the specified reference, and the receiver device receives the data from the data source.
