PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an image forming apparatus, to reduce the cost thereof and to increase the image formation speed of the apparatus. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is characterized in that a plurality of light sources, a single polygon mirror having different angles on a single face and an optical path deflection means which deflects the optical path for scanning a plane to be scanned are provided as an image scanning and exposing means.
