PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustion from ignition of a primer of a closed telescope cartridge up to firing of an explosive. SOLUTION: This primer is used for the telescope cartridge arranged with a projectile and a propellant, and for the telescope cartridge having 0.5g/cm<SP>3</SP>or more of filled density of the explosive, each hole of the primer is opened toward a machine axis direction in the primer of the telescope cartridge, and the holes are provided plurally, and the holes are directed only to the machine axis direction.
