PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sliding resistance and weight of a bearing to support a drive pinion shaft, and shorten axial length of the drive pinion shaft to save space. SOLUTION: A neck lower part 2b of a drive pinion 2a formed on the output side of the drive pinion shaft 2 is journaled to a final reduction gear case 6 through a single line roller bearing 4. A small diameter step part 2c formed on the input side of the drive pinion shaft 2 is journaled to the final reduction gear case 6 through a single line 4-point contact ball bearing 5. Most of radial loads applied to the drive pinion shaft 2 is supported by the single line roller bearing 4.
