PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network scanner device that automatically implements complicated setting of a plurality of LDAP formats for accessing an LDAP server to the device. SOLUTION: The network scanner device comprises: a first means that accesses a relay server, obtains address book data from the relay server and has the data displayed at the time of destination e-mail address reference; and a second means that obtains contents of setting the LDAP formats for accessing the LDAP server from the relay server and automatically sets the obtained contents of the setting to the device.
