PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device that satisfies both energy saving and high speed and is suitably used for an image fixing device, etc. SOLUTION: The heating device includes a rotary endless belt 2, a roller 3 and a heating element 5 which are disposed inside the endless belt, and a pressure rotor 5 which can be rotated and is in contact with the outside of the endless belt, the endless belt being in pressure contact with part of the periphery of the pressure rotor. The endless belt includes a tension part 2a and a non-tension part 2b. The tension part of the endless belt is an area where the endless belt and the pressure rotor are in contact with each other between the roller and the heating element. The non-tension part is an area where the endless belt and the pressure rotor are not in contact with each other and the roller and the heating element are freely supported so as not to be in contact with each other. The material P is conveyed by being sandwiched between the tension part of the endless belt and the pressure rotor while heat of the endless belt heated by the heating element is applied.
