METHOD OF TREATING PAPER-MAKING SLUDGE, AND FUNCTIONAL MATERIAL MANUFACTURED BY THE SAME METHOD AND CONTAINING ZEOLITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating paper-making sludge which is suitable for manufacturing a functional material containing zeolite. SOLUTION: Paper-making sludge incineration ash which is easily recycled is manufactured by firing the paper-making sludge discharged from a paper-making plant at a temperature ranging from≥500°C to≤700°C. The functional material containing zeolite is manufactured by treating the paper-making sludge incineration ash in the presence of≤3N sodium hydroxide under a temperature condition ranging from room temperature to≤160°C.
