PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separating apparatus for dissimilar materials in gas capable of achieving high performance by improvement of separation efficiency, energy saving, space saving, maintenance free, low pressure loss, and easy-controlling of operation. SOLUTION: This separating apparatus is provided with a static mixer 1 with its longitudinal direction disposed substantially vertical, a first feeding means feeding liquid into the mixer 1 from an upper end side thereof, and a second feeding means feeding the gas containing the dissimilar materials into the mixer 1 from a lower end part thereof. The static mixer 1 has one or a plurality of mixing elements 2 continuously assembled in the longitudinal direction, and the elements comprise passage tubes for fluid flowing and one or a plurality of blades 8 disposed therein.
