PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a heart failure treatment apparatus equipped with a both-cardiac ventricle stimulating mechanism. SOLUTION: The subject heart treatment equipment is equipped with an atrium detecting means 3 for detecting the excitement of an atrium 11 of heart, a right ventricle pulse generating means 4 for stimulating the right ventricle 12, a left ventricle pulse generating means 5 for stimulating the left ventricle, an atrioventricular delay clocking means 6 responding to the atrium detecting means 3 to trigger atrium stimulation after a predetermined atrioventricular delay time, a heart rate monitor means 7 for monitoring a heart rate and a control means 2. The control means 2 selects either one of or both of the right ventricle pulse generating means 4 and the left ventricle pulse generating means 5 on the basis of the heart rate.
