PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood firing oven having most suitable conditions with regard to the heat absorbed in fuel and articles to be burnt so as to most suitably utilize heat energy. SOLUTION: This wood firing oven (1) has a plurality of combustion chambers (2) set vertically to have predetermined spaces, a combustion area (3) and an exhaust gas route, wherein each combustion chamber can be shut-off from the exhaust gas route with an openable and bendable lid (8) for the combustion chamber. Bendable lids (81) for exhaust gas are set to bend the exhaust gas route when a bendable lid (81) for exhaust gas and some of the bendable lids (8) for the combustion chamber are closed.
