<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a streaming distributor capable of excellently distributing multimedia contents data even when a packet loss takes place in streaming distribution and to provide terminal equipment, a distribution system, and a distribution method. <P>SOLUTION: In the distributor 1 for distributing multimedia contents data in a way of streaming, a retransmission buffer management section 31 extracts a packet from a retransmission buffer 32 in response to a retransmission request message and retransmits the packet.
