METHOD FOR MODIFYING POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a polymer such as an elastomer to improve the adhering property and processing property of the polymer.

SOLUTION: This method for modifying the polymer is provided by generating carbon radicals in the polymer or while generating the radicals, performing the reaction of a compound having the free radicals stably existing at a normal temperature in the presence of oxygen with the polymer for introducing an organic group derived from the compound having the free radicals in the polymer.
