<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CDMA transmitter and transmission method capable of improving error rate characteristics and improving transmission efficiency compatibly. <P>SOLUTION: The CDMA transmitter 100 using a turbo code as an error correction code is provided with a spreading device 102 for allocating a plurality of spreading codes and spreading systematic bits and a spreading part 103 for allocating one, two or more spreading codes and spreading parity bits, and the number of the spreading codes allocated to the systematic bits by the spreading device 102 is larger than the number of the spreading codes allocated to the parity bits by the spreading part 103.
