PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict black smoke in a diesel engine by speed change control. SOLUTION: Easiness of generation of black smoke is determined based on atmospheric pressure (S104). In a case of atmospheric pressure Atp<Latp, it is determined that easiness of generation of black smoke is high (S104: YES), and a speed change diagram is changed to that more easy to downshift (S108). Since the low engine rotation speed side is a range where black smoke is more likely to be generated, speed change control is changed to increase easiness of downshifting to increase the engine rotation speed. It can thus be changed to the high engine rotation speed side in which black smoke is less likely to be generated. Even when fuel injection quantity is increased at the time of low atmospheric pressure, generation of black smoke from the diesel engine can be effectively restricted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
