PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus and a recording means, which have the function of automatically housing a plurality of long recording sheets after image information in a space-saving and good-quality manner so as to easily cut the recording sheets in a desired size and eject them, when necessary. SOLUTION: Recording media, equivalent to a set number of sheets for printing, are continuously housed in a wind-up roller in a state wherein the images are formed along with the formation of marks in the cutting places of the recording media. After the completion of the above process, the recording media are cut in a desired size along with the detection of the marks in the cutting places of the recording media.
