PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staple fiber woven or knitted fabric having excellent bulkiness slightly causing production trouble during fiber spinning, spinning or dyeing and having soft bulkiness and pill resistance in combination though an air interlaced spun yarn is used only by carrying out a simple treatment such as a hot water treatment. SOLUTION: The bulky staple fiber woven or knitted fabric is composed of the air interlaced spun yarn containing low-shrinkable staple fibers having≤4% shrinkage percentage in boiling water (according to JIS L 1015) and copolyester staple fibers and is obtained by carrying out heat shrinking of the air interlaced spun yarn. Furthermore, the air interlaced spun yarn contains 10-60 mass% of the polyester staple fibers. The pill resistance is≥3 class. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
