PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for game machines which is ideal for facilitating the altering of the game contents and the managing work of the game machines such as maintenance by separating the control circuit of the game machine into the common circuit and the non-common circuit while a program for controlling the common circuit is provided on the side of the non-common circuit. SOLUTION: A controller 1 for the game machines comprises a non-common part 10 provided on a gauge board and a common part 11 provided on the frame part of the pachinko game machine and the non-common part 10 comprises a main control circuit 100 and an LED and a lamp and the like in addition thereto. The common part 11 comprises a control circuit for controlling the output devices of the pachinko game machine. The main control circuit 100 contains a data memory medium 100a for control, a memory medium interface 100b (hereafter called I/F), a main CPU 100c, a work RAM 100d, a ROM 100e having a program for the main control stored therein, a signal I/F 100f and a data I/F 100g for control.
