PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothes-drying stand which hardly becomes an obstruction at the time of nonuse and whose stability is excellent even at the time of drying a heavy object such as futon. SOLUTION: A pole receiving rod is made freely turnable in a horizontal direction, a pole receiving part is provided freely turnably on the pole receiving rod, the interval of columns facing each other is made larger than the outer diameter of a clothes-drying pole and a holding part having a holding hole for holding the clothes-drying pole is provided between the columns facing each other. At the time of not using the clothes-drying stand, by performing turning while keeping the clothes-drying pole mounted on the pole receiving part provided on a clothes-drying rod and turning the clothes-drying pole and the pole receiving rod to roughly parallel positions, space is not occupied by the clothes-drying pole. Also, at the time of drying the heavy object, when the clothes-drying pole and the pole receiving rod are used at positions near the parallel positions, the possibility of falling of the clothes-drying stand is lowered. Also, when the clothes-drying pole is disposed to the holding hole provided between the columns, the stability is increased further and there is no danger of falling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
