PURPOSE: A mobile communication base station system is provided to transmit digital data to a remote base station without filtering/modulating I and Q baseband signals in order to increase a channel capacity of a modem by 4 times more, thereby effectively realizing the base station system. CONSTITUTION: A base station(200A) converts a baseband signal into an optical signal, and outputs the optical signal to an optical fiber cable(205). A remote base station(200B) up-converts a frequency of the optical signal inputted through the optic cable(205), and outputs a high frequency signal. A baseband digital signal of a multiplexer(202) is converted into a serial LVDS signal by a serial converter(203). The optical signal is transmitted to the remote base station(200B) connected to the optic cable(205) via an E/O(Electrical to Optical Converter)(204) that converts the serial LVDS signal into the optical signal. The optical signal is converted into a serial LVDS signal by an O/E(Optical to Electrical Converter)(206), and the serial LVDS signal is converted into a 16bit parallel digital signal by a parallel converter(207).
