PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for printing data and writing data to a base medium or a memory tag provided therein. SOLUTION: This device 10 includes a print head 16 for printing on the base medium 12 and a memory tag writing device 20 for writing data to the base medium 12 or the memory tag 8 provided therein. The base medium 12 is moved to be passed through or over the device 10 along a first axis A1. At least a part 21 of the memory tag writing device 20 necessary for communicating with the memory tag 8 can be moved back and forth with respect to the base medium 12 along a third axis A3 substantially perpendicular to the first axis A1. The print head 16 can be moved with respect to the base medium 12 according to the related printing technology and is moved back and forth along a second axis A2 substantially perpendicular to the first axis A1.
