PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferroelectric element which can secure reliability by protecting the element without impairing the performance of the element. SOLUTION: The ferroelectric element 10 includes a first electrode 11, a ferroelectric film 12 formed on the electrode 11, and a second electrode 13 formed on the ferroelectric film 12. The ferroelectric element 10 further includes a constitution which is larger than the electrode area and in which a resin film 14 and a gas barrier film 15 are sequentially laminated on at least one of the electrodes of the ferroelectric element 10.
