PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having high sensitivity and excellent in image preservability. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material comprises a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent, a development accelerator and a binder on the same face of the support and comprises a polymer prepared by copolymerizing 10-70 mass% of a monomer represented by the formula CH<SB>2</SB>=CR<SP>01</SP>-CR<SP>02</SP>=CH<SB>2</SB>as the binder, wherein R<SP>01</SP>represents H, a 1-6C alkyl, halogen or cyano and R<SP>02</SP>represents a 1-6C alkyl, halogen or cyano, or R<SP>01</SP>and R<SP>02</SP>are each a group selected from H, a 1-6C alkyl, halogen and cyano with the proviso that R<SP>01</SP>and R<SP>02</SP>are not simultaneously H.
