PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire having low fuel consumption and excellent wet-grip performance without lowering processability, mechanical strength, etc., and provide a pneumatic tire produced by using the rubber composition as the tread rubber. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tire tread is composed of 100 pts. wt. of a rubber component containing≥5 wt.% natural rubber graft-copolymerized with an organic compound having unsaturated bond and/or epoxidized natural rubber and 5-150 pts.wt. of carbon black.
