PURPOSE: A backlight heatproof structure for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to expose an electrode member, as a maximum heating member, in the air at the outside of the backlight so that the heat is not transmitted to the inside of the backlight, thereby reducing temperature. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel(20) displays an image by injecting a liquid crystal between a pair of substrates. A backlight emits light to the rear surface of the LCD panel(20) and is installed to a lower portion of the LCD panel(20). A case(21) cases the LCD panel(20) and the backlight. A bottom cover(22) is installed to a lower portion of the backlight, protects the backlight and prevents from leaking light. The backlight comprises a lamp(23) which is used as a light source, a lamp holder(24) for fixing the lamp, and a light scattering device(25) arranged between the lamp(23) and the LCD panel(20).
