PURPOSE: An optical lens for an optical recording and reproducing system is provided to restrain optical loss, reduce aberration of a focusing lens, and enlarge a convergence angle of light. CONSTITUTION: An incident part(21a) is concavely formed to an upper plane of an optical lens and has a vertex in a lower part. A beam emitted from a light source is projected to the incident part. A first reflective plane(22a) reflects an incident beam(25). A second reflective plane(23) reflects the beam reflected from the first reflective plane. A converging part(24) converges the beams reflected from the second reflective plane. A reflective material is coated on the planes of the first reflective plane and the second reflective plane. The beam converged on the converging part interacts with a recording medium magneto-optically.
