<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball with good adhesiveness between a non-ionomer thermoplastic elastomer cover layer and an ionomer cover layer, and with excellent durability, repulsion, and productivity. <P>SOLUTION: In the golf ball, a first cover layer and a second cover layer are adjacent to each other. The first cover layer is made of a mixture of a non-ionomer thermoplastic elastomer, an isocyanate compound and a thermoplastic resin as the main component. The second cover layer is made of a mixture of a resin component wherein an ionomer resin and a non-ionomer thermoplastic elastomer are compounded at the ratio from 100:0 to 50:50, a fatty acid and/or its derivative, a metal ion source capable of neutralizing the unneutralized acid groups in the above components, and a compound with at least two reactive functional groups and whose molecular weight is 20,000 or less, as a main component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
