<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost anchoring device built in a terminal connection equipment for optical fibers of an optical cable using a loose tube type unit. <P>SOLUTION: Into a hollow part of a hollow heat-shrinkage tube 33, a tube type hot-melt adhesive 31 and an elongated rod type base 32 are inserted. The terminal parts of a plurality of coated optical fibers 1a inserted into the optical cable are inserted into a hole of the hot-melt type adhesive 31 and heated to melt the hot-melt type adhesive 31, thereby reducing the diameter of the heat-shrinkage tube 33. After the temperature is lowered, the hot-melt type adhesive 31 is solidified to bond the optical fibers 1a and base 32 and to unite them with the heat-shrinkage tube 33, thereby forming an anchor part 30a. As shown in Fig.(b), a calk sleeve 34 fixed to the left end of the base 32 is fixed to a fixed part of the terminal connection equipment to anchor the optical fibers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
