PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner capable of being continuously operated by effectively cooling a compressor. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit for the air-conditioner comprises a body partitioned into a heat exchange room 12 and a machine room 13 with a partition plate 11, a condenser 2 and a blower 14 for blowing outside air to the condenser, arranged in the heat exchange room, and a compressor 1 arranged in the machine room, wherein an evaporator 6 and a blower 8 for blowing cool air cooled by the evaporator to the compressor are provided in the machine room. In the compressor, a thermistor 15 is provided as a temperature detector for detecting the temperature of the compressor. When the temperature detected by the thermistor is a fixed temperature or higher, a cooling medium is distributed into the evaporator 6 and the blower 8 is operated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
