PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving operation auxiliary device for a vehicle performing reaction control according to the sense for every individual. SOLUTION: This device has circumstance recognition means 10 and 20 to detect a vehicle state and a traveling environment around a vehicle, a risk potential calculation means 50 to calculate risk potential around a present vehicle based on detection results of the circumstance recognition means 10 and 20, a reaction determination means 50 to determine operation reaction generated in vehicle operation equipment 80 according to an operation reaction characteristic based on the risk potential calculated by the risk potential calculation means 50, a driver characteristic determination means 50 to determine the characteristic of a driver in relation to the risk potential around the present vehicle, and a reaction characteristic correction means 50 to correct the operation reaction characteristic according to a signal from the driver characteristic determination means 50.
