WIDE FIELD OF VISION DISPLAY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide field of vision display and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The wide field of vision display is an MVA-LCD (multi-domain vertically aligned liquid crystal display) or an IPS-LCD (in-plane switching liquid crystal display). A plurality of projections are formed on the inner surface of a glass substrate and an electrode array is formed on the tops of the projections. Therefore, the electrodes are disposed in the liquid crystal cell gap and a lateral electric field is generated by the electrodes to drive the liquid crystal molecules. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
