PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester monofilament that has both excellent resistance to hydrolysis and excellent resistance to dry heat and to provide industrial woven fabric by using the monofilament, e.g., a drier canvas in paper-making, a woven belt for the step where a nonwoven fabric is thermally bonded, a woven conveying belt running through inside the heat treatment oven or the like. SOLUTION: This polyester monofilaments comprises a polyester containing 0.3-10 wt.% of a hydrogenated 8-alkylcarboxylatotetracyclo[4.4.0.1<SP>2,5</SP>.1<SP>7,10</SP>]-3-dodecene ring-opened polymer, 0.01-1.5 wt.% of a monocarbodiimide, 0.05-3.0 wt.% of a polycarbodiimide and 0.02-2 wt.% of a phenolic antioxidant on the basis of the polyester polymer.
